The LoKi flag has and is raised in many online games, a fact that we are all proud of.

About LoKi

LoKi is one of the oldest guilds on Hellscream-EU. We are a very social guild with a mature and friendly outlook and welcome all new members. We respect the fact that this is a game and only ask that you also respect the fact that our members come from every walk of life. One of our only requirements is that you respect this too with your behaviour whilst part of LoKi. You will represent not only yourself but the guild as a whole; fun is our aim and we are all proud to fly the LoKi banner above our heads.

We are not a hardcore raiding guild nor are we a so called levelling guild, but we pride ourselves that we are a true guild. As raiding is really an essential part of the game and especially as Blizzard in their wisdom (bless their little cotton socks) have designed the game towards that end, we do try to set up raids generally twice a week.

We will and do continue to assist our members in reaching levels where they will feel confident to enjoy raiding with us and this includes crafting and running guild groups thus avoiding the perilous Pugs. We don't insist on you raiding with us or any other requirements like item level, but should you want to be part of a mature and very friendly guild then LoKi could be the guild for you. Fun and relaxation in game is our aim!

And for our visitors old or new if you want to leave a message to catch up with old mates or even an enquiry then step up and feel free to leave a post in the visitors forum. We love to hear from old members no matter what game you play now but remember please it is a public forum!

So if we sound like the guild for you, please continue reading our Guild Rules and you will find information about how to apply at the bottom. But most of all Welcome to LoKi and thanks for looking us over.

Guild Rules

We are not a very strict guild, and most of our rules just require simple common sense. We do not for example have any problem with you having alts (or even your main) in another guild, we do not care how long you have been playing or what your item level is, and we do not 'enforce' raids on you.

  • Because we are a mature guild we will only accept applications from over 18s.
  • As we are also mostly an English guild, we require you to have a good understanding of English.
  • Follow the agreement you signed up to with Blizzard at all times. We cannot help if you breach your agreement with the provider or host.
  • Always uphold the principles of your guild. You carry the banner not only yourself, but LoKi as well. and so you are our Ambassadors. Our reputation should make our members proud and others happy to have us around. Don’t let your guild mates down.
  • Integrity and maturity are expected at all times. Remember it takes as long and as much effort to type a curse or swear word as it does any other word or groan.
  • Any form of harassment towards other players is totally unacceptable.
  • All our members deserve the respect you would like to receive yourself. We expect others to show you the same respect you show them. However we should always lead by example.
  • The officers always have the last word on any matter that involves the stability of the guild.
  • Always be mindful of others, you may only be joking but remember something that seems funny to you may not be to them. All members have the same rights and privileges. This game is a great leveller it allows people of all nature, disability, race, gender to play together as equals. So no form of discrimination will be tolerated no matter what the excuse and this includes amongst others racist sexist or political tirades. Membership and access to our forums is not just limited to our current members so please respect this privilege.
  • Do not abuse the forums as a result of personal differences or opinions. The forums are provided for you to get the very best enjoyment possible from the game.
  • Any service offered by a member such as crafting is voluntary. No demand should be put upon any player’s time or resources be mindful that the other player will almost always be involved with something.
  • There are many ways to contribute and thereby improve our community. A few examples: If you have a profession, provide the services freely in exchange for the materials to further your skill. Ask if your guild mates need an item (if you can afford it) before selling it. Host an event. Help someone with a difficult quest. Contribute unwanted items recipes/plans etc. to the guild bank (in moderation please).
  • Do not beg for gold or take items or services offered freely by members to sell on the auction house etc.
  • If you donate money or materials to the Guild bank they are no longer your personal items - please ensure you are happy before making your donation.
  • Items or services offered to members in Guild chat are offered free of charge.
  • Stand behind your Guild. Support it where you can. Our code of conduct is demanding and it is often difficult to maintain our high standards without becoming frustrated.
  • When in a Guild-only group, and no matter what loot system is adopted if an item is for offspec then please say so when rolling.
  • The Guild belongs to you its members and its future depends on the contributions of everyone the biggest contribution you can make is to take up the spirit of the guild and join in with the other members.
  • No matter what we do in any form human nature will always prevail when you find yourself in dispute over any topic in game remember everyone can see your comments attitude and behaviour, in such a position please stand back and take five to consider your course of action before displaying this to all.
  • And finally, if you have any problems at all, please do contact an officer for assistance :)

How to Apply

Okay, you've read about what we can offer and also what we require of you. So, how do you join?

There are a few ways that you can join LoKi. Firstly, if you would prefer to write us an application, you can do so by emailing Loki.applicants*AT*hotmail.com (just replace *AT* with @).

Secondly, you can sign up for an account on our forums and post an application there. We require the same sort of information here as we do via email - simply writing 'can I join your guild plz' will not be acceptable. Please use your main character's name / the character you want to bring to LoKi's name as your username for the website to prevent confusion.

Generally all applications by either of these methods will receive a reply within 7 days. If you do not receive a reply it could be due to holidays etc. so bear with us. These applications should at a minimum include in your own words, your name, your character's name or names, your character's information, your age and location, your reasons for wanting to become part of LoKi, your current and recent guilds along with your reasons for leaving and anything else you might think is relevant (for instance experience, attitudes, friends or ex guild mates that are already members of LoKi etc.). Sucess will depend not on how good or expert your character is but on how you present your information.

Thirdly, or if you have been directed here because of a request to join in-game, you can have a chat with one of our officers about why you want to join us. Our officer will ask you some questions about yourself. You can of course decline to answer anything that is asked, but please be aware that we will not accept anyone who is unwilling to tell us their age. Due to some past incidents with language we do not accept under 18s to the Guild.

We do not accept people who simply whisper us with 'can I join your guild', nor do we simply accept applicants through the Guild requests system. If you have applied via the request system, one of our officers will try to contact you in-game for a chat.

All applicants will be expected to have read and understood all of our rules, and you will be expected to abide by them. The officers reserve the right to remove those that do not comply without further explanation.

Once your application is successful, your character will remain at the 'Trialist' rank for about a week (this may be extended if necessary). This is to ensure that you feel at home with us, and us with you :). After the trialist period, you will be promoted up to 'Wanderer' – which is our main member rank.

Our officers include: Ashmael, Knurly / Bunglenut, Tiddles / Rahel, Torena and Shanarra. If you cannot find an officer online, do a /who LoKi and any of our members will be happy to point you in the right direction :)
